Dan's parents arrived yesterday for a 10-day visit.
It rained all day--downpours, thunder and lightening--very unusual weather.
We had planned a churrasco, which ended up taking place in the covered garage space where we hang our laundry.
But it worked out.
(Look at all those chicken hearts on the grill. The kids love them.)
It rained most of the night, too. But when I walked outside with Ju at five this morning, it was beginning to clear.

i clove chicken hearts! i had had them for the first time ever on my actual first whole day in - believe it or not - the little place where laundry is done. there's a little table :P but not because it was raining, because its the only place to do it!
ps. loved that story about your neighbor below :)
That's funny. I wonder what it is about chicken hearts and laundry?
They are good, though, aren't they?
Beautiful post. it is funny that it could be raining hard there, but not here or vice versa....Rio Vermelho...when it rains here the red river flows straight into the ocean...I try to avoid swimming in it after a rain. I missed eating chicken hearts in the USA. I havent had them in awhile! yummmyyyy!
