haircuts

E. got his first professional haircut this week. I can't believe he's starting first grade next week. He was assigned a teacher who's been in the district since Dan and I were students here. Kind of weird.

Speaking of which, Dan is colleagues now with some of our former middle school teachers.

Our seventh grade science teacher said she remembered both of us perfectly, and to prove it, showed him her grade books from 1988! (We both got A's.)

Ju also got a much needed trim.

So cute. How can you not want to grab those cheeks?

Cute haircuts!!! That is funny how your hubby works with past teachers that taught him. My kids have had four teachers in the past who taught me in the same grade years ago. Scary!!!
Give the boys hugs for their first day of school. I imagine this experience will be quite different from school in Brazil.

No way! What's his 1st grade teacher? Is Dan working at Welsh Valley? Craziness... Who's still there?

Thanks, Summer.
His teacher's name is Mrs. Bildersee. The only teachers left at WV from our time are Ms. Wasno, Greg Eskin, Langmeyer, and Grady. Oh, and Macnicke (sp?). The school is huge now, though--more than 800 students.

Hi boys! Ju needs a hair cut too, but he wants to grow his hair out. I don't think it looks very good because it's dry and breaking in the back.

Hey Ali! E. didn't want one either. We had to call it a "trim."

you got As? Both of you? No freaking way. I'm kidding of course. That's surreal about the teachers! I wonder if Hamish will get any of my old teachers from the 70s. I think they must all be dead now. um... have a great first day!!!
