Here are the three boys in their costumes: Harry Potter, bumblebee, and superclown.
The bumblebee wasn't so sure about dressing up, but once we started trick-or-treating, he didn't want to stop.
After we got home, they counted their loot (E. had to tally it up as a homework assignment).
They each eat a couple of pieces, then the candy fairy comes and trades the rest for some little prizes.
What do you think the candy fairy will bring you? I asked R.
I don't know, he said. But I hope it's food. And I hope it's not healthy.

Oh, cute little bee. R.'s costume is classic. He is so himself all the time, unashamedly. I hope living and going to school in the USA won't flatten it out of him.
